For Dwarf Miners, going to war is simply another hard shift – except this time they are cracking enemy armour rather than stubborn rock. DWARFEN MOUNTAIN HOLDS: DWARF MINERS builds 20 determined Miners and four Miner's Carts, bringing these chainmail-clad excavators from the depths of the mountain holds directly onto the battlefields of Warhammer: The Old World.

Why would proud Dwarf Miners trade their trusted tools for ordinary weapons of war? DWARFEN MOUNTAIN HOLDS: DWARF MINERS answers that question simply: they wouldn't. These hardy warriors carry the same heavy mining picks and mattocks they use to carve tunnels through the mountains, turning their tools against enemy armour with characteristic Dwarfen determination. The miniatures can be organised into smaller units or gathered together into one mighty host, complete with command options.

The kit allows you to build musicians, standard bearers, and champions, with the latter optionally carrying an impressive steam drill. Standard bearers can choose between an icon and a traditional banner, giving you further scope to personalise your unit. Four sturdy wooden Miner's Carts are pulled by rugged ponies, and the carts can even be equipped with optional drills – because to a Dwarf engineer, there are very few problems that cannot be improved by adding another drill.

DWARFEN MOUNTAIN HOLDS: DWARF MINERS makes a characterful addition to a Dwarfen Mountain Holds army, especially for collectors looking to complement traditional Dwarf infantry with a strongly themed unit. With 20 warriors, varied command options, and four pony-drawn carts, the set offers plenty of personality for both the painting desk and the battlefield.

The miniatures require assembly and painting.
