For centuries, the battle-tested defenders of the Great Bastion have held back the legions of the Ruinous Powers, while Cathayan merchants and warriors have forged connections far beyond their homeland. ARCANE JOURNAL: ARMIES OF GRAND CATHAY is a 48-page softback supplement exploring the history, culture, and armies of Grand Cathay in Warhammer: The Old World.

What is included in ARCANE JOURNAL: ARMIES OF GRAND CATHAY? Inside you will find rules for the Armies of Nan-Gau, alongside profiles and background for several units and characters, including Miao Ying, The Storm Dragon. Lore, artwork, and photography further explore the Empire of the Celestial Dragon and its formidable warriors.

The supplement also introduces the Spell Lores of Yin and Yang, revealing the powers associated with both sides of Feng Shi sorcery. Rules for Magic Weapons, Magic Armour, Talismans, Magic Standards, Enchanted Items, Arcane Items, and weapons unique to the army provide further options for your Cathayan forces.

ARCANE JOURNAL: ARMIES OF GRAND CATHAY gives you a deeper look into this distant empire while providing the rules needed to bring the Celestial Dragon's armies to the tabletop. You will also need a copy of the Warhammer: The Old World Rulebook, available separately, to use this supplement.
